I submitted my last assessment for this semester on Sunday night and now I get to enjoy the brief pause before the final semester starts.
Once more into the breach, dear friends, once more.
I’ve got a couple of weeks before I start an internship as one of my summer subjects. Fortunately I’ve lined up an opportunity with Short Australian Stories, which I’m really excited about. Until then, I’ve got plenty of time for writing, so watch this space.
It’s important for me to keep the ball rolling. Churning out the last two assessments felt like a Herculean effort because I didn’t get as much done as early as I wanted. It seems like I’m constantly working on my discipline.
With only one semester to go before graduation, it makes sense to be looking long and hard at the future. I already know I’d like a career in writing. I simply need to start chasing it harder.
So with that in mind, I’ll keep writing and trying to do better.
I finished Altered Carbon the other day. Richard Morgan spins a good tale, and I reckon I’ll pick up another of his books at some point in the future. Hell, I might even review it. I don’t do enough of that.
