Cracking On

It’s been a few weeks since uni went back and I’ve been snowed under with assignments, but I’ve had plenty of time for writing. A couple of essays worth a couple of thousand words have been keeping me awake at night, and looming large in a few more weeks afterwards is a fiction piece worth about the same.

So I’ve not being paying attention to the blog lately and I miss it. Getting what’s on my mind out is refreshing. It clears the pipes of the debris of stray thought and helps focus my attention on what matters: getting stuff done.

I’ve been doing that a bit more often, getting stuff done. I woke up for the first time the other day with more drive and purpose than I’ve felt in a long time. It was a productive few hours and I got a whole heap of work done. It felt good.

If only I have more days like that.
